my first "blog" I'm a horrible writer so please don't expect much. I'm hoping to use this blog as a refection of my journey and just to gab about every day stuff. Hopefully along the way I will pick up a few friends and learn a few things about myself.
So let me start off by giving you the quick and dirty about me. My name is Genise and I live and work in Boston. I've been married to Kevin for 11 years and have a grand total of 5 kids. Thanks goodness I didn't give birth to all of them. My husband and I have one together, his name is Gary and will be 11 soon. I have a wonderful foster child who I consider my niece, her name is Shatarta and will soon be 15. I have one daughter that belongs to me, her name is Vanessa and she is currently 17 going on ...pick any age where you think your grown. Then I have two fabulous step kids Tevin soon to be 18 and Tamika who is 22. I also have two cats Fred and Sky...yeah I'm exhausted just writing it.
So the big news in my life these days is I'm scheduled for Lap Band surgery in August and I can't shut up about it. I'm so excited and I'm telling anybody and everybody who crosses my path. I'm sure that will come back to bite me later on. I have the BIGGEST mouth and I can't keep quiet about anything. They aren't really interesting things but I'm always talking about something or other. Lord only knows why I haven't really blogged up til now cause I always have plenty to say. Anywho I'm getting off topic...I'm scheduled to have this surgery in August so of course the first thing I do is head to the internet cause that is my source for anything and everything. Which lead me to the forums of www.lapbandtalk.com which in turn lead me to Kristen's blog . I read her entire blog from start to finish. I was so inspired that I decided to start my own. I just thought how nice it would be to look back over all my progress (fingers crossed here).
Well now that your bored to tears I'm going to let my mini bio marinate with you for the weekend. I'm so excited that I don't have a thing planned. I may pick up my god-daughter and hang with her for the day.

yay you did it! You completed your first blog post, wasn't so hard was it? Thank you so much for finding me, I love having fellow new englanders to chat with. Where are you having your surgery? You are going to great, and I can't wait to watch your progress!
