The Day The Water Went Out In Boston

Well it's been a CRAZY weekend.  Due to a broken pipe the city of Boston has been under a boil-water order all weekend.  Thank goodness we just had our Poland Springs delivery a couple of days before hand.  This whole water emergency has really got me thinking.  What if this had been more serious that just a water issue...scary.  People in my local supermarket had a knock down, drag out fight over a 12oz bottle of water..the whole thing just freaks me out.

The good news is the pipe is fixed and the flushing has begun.  Now we just wait for the all clear and it's back to brushing my teeth with tap water.  I felt so foolish standing at the sink with a bottle of water in one hand  and my tooth brush in the other.

In between all the water chaos my youngest turned 11 on Saturday.  I have to share this picture with everyone...don't you just look at it and get all happy inside.  He was around 2 or 3 and was enjoying a red lollipop.

He looks exactly the same just taller and slightly less dirty..not much though as he is still a boy.  Hopefully I will figure out how to post a photo album.  Love to show off my kids and I want to get my before photos up

*Goal-To end my daily stomach aches.  I wake up with one and go to sleep with one.  Once my diet is under control I hope to leave this painful reminder behind with all the weight I'm going to lose.

  2. I know what you mean about getting to think when things like a broken pipe happen. We had 3 huge blizzards this year and it was a little scary being trapped in the house. Your son is adorable. My baby girl is 11 and my oldest girl is 14. Time goes by so fast.

  3. What a DOLL! Okay now that he is 11 he probably wouldn't want to be called that, but he is so cute!

That is crazy about the plumbing. I'm glad things are getting back to normal. I've traveled to countries before where you have to brush your teeth with bottled water. I can't imagine doing without the toilets!
